-Joel Ward and Eric Fehr led the Caps with a +12 on-ice shot attempt differential. Fellow third-liner Brooks Laich was next at +11.

-Andre Burakovsky and Tom Wilson had the worst shot attempt differential at -5.

-Burakovsky played 5:37 and had just 3 shifts after the first period, only one of which came in the final 25 minutes of the game.

-Nate Schmidt was on the ice for the most Caps shot attempts (23).

-Tom Wilson was on the ice for the most shot attempts against (21).

-Burakovsky, Jay Beagle, and Jason Chimera faced the toughest zone starts, starting 0% of shifts in the offensive zone

-Ward, Fehr, and Laich faced the easiest zone starts, starting 70% of shifts in the offensive zone

-Nate Schmidt, possession monster update: 57.14 ZS% +5 in shot attempts
